What is E-giving?
E-giving is feature for giving a contribution or schedule a series of contributions using your debit or credit card on bbcstar.org

If we want to help people get out of debt, why does Bethlehem Baptist Church accept credit card contributions?
Used within the parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, and then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card to give. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option.

Is E-giving secure?
All debit or credit card information you enter and store for E-giving activity is fully PCI DSS Compliant (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standards). This means E-giving conforms to the highest set of security standards in the payment card industry. Our E-giving system conforms to the prestigious certification of “McAfee Secure” noted by the seal on the left of the sign in page. McAfee scans our system every day. No one has access to your data unless authorized by you.

Why do I have to set up an account and password?
Setting up an account and password allows you to enter a highly secure environment for your transaction. Once your account and password are established, all of your personal information including credit card information is safe and protected. Only you can access your account.

Which cards can I use?
MasterCard, Visa or Discovery cards, credit or debit cards.

Will I see any hidden charges or fees when I use E-giving?
No. You select the dollar amount for your contribution. That is the dollar amount that will appear on your credit or debit card statement.

Can I just try E-giving one time?
Sure. Select the TITHE tab on the entry page for non-repeating contributions.

Can I designate my contributions to a particular department or ministry?
Yes. Just select the desired fund from the drop down box.

What is an Auto-Tithe?
You can set up a schedule for automatically making contributions for convenience. You can choose how often you would like an automatic contribution to be made—weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Select the AUTO-TITHE tab on the entry page.

When is the automatic contribution charged to my account?
You choose from the frequency drop down box on the AUTO-TITHE page.

What if I want to change my Auto-Tithe or stop it?
Just use the inactivate button on the AUTO-TITHE page.

How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
You can view your online giving record by selecting the VIEW HISTORY tab. Be sure to select the correct year you want to review. A button is available for printing the online history.
